A former local boxing champion, Rick Russo was forced to retire due to a shoulder injury. He has since purchased a boxing gym where, alongside his brother Drake, he teaches lessons mainly to teenagers. Lately he has been struggling to pay bills and keep the gym afloat, especially with an increased number of students dropping out due to the economy. He has recently reunited with his wife Valerie, after a year-long separation due to financial and personal differences. Rick also hides a dark secret, which is his addiction to prescription pain medication. This truly is the source for a majority of Rick's financial difficulties, but he is completely a slave to his addiction.

Al is an Italian-American actor, born in West Allis, Wisconsin. During high school he began modeling and enrolled in acting workshops. Al graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh with a business degree and a minor in astrophysics, along with continued electives in film and theater. He is a skilled martial artist, ex-personal trainer, and has recently become a semi-pro ballroom dancer. Al recently trained under the tutelage of acting coach Mary Dawe, and is known throughout Wisconsin as “Professor Al the Science Pal” to 1st through 4th grade elementary students.
